Why Are pear.php.net and www.php.net So Slow?

Anyone else experience a long delay when trying to download a file on either php.net or pear.php.net? You click on a link, wait about 90 seconds, and then the download starts. This isn't a problem off campus. I can't decide if I should bother our network guys or PHP's...

When Planet PHP picked up my PHP feed, this old article (almost two years old) got picked up. The problem has since been resolved. The issue was localized to my university and I believe was the fault with Global Crossing, the university's ISP. All is fine now, so no need to post comments. ;)Trackback
