Interesting Story Out of Wisconsin
Only in institutions of higher learning can a convicted employee who has "repeated sexual contact with children... between the ages of 5 and 9" not be dismissed because the institution is claiming to follow due process. The court of law already convicted him! You don't have to wait for your own judicial board to reach a consensus before firing him.
Update 1
The following is taken directly from a supplemental article:
Suder said Coronado’s attacks were uncovered after the third victim told her parents of the assault nearly two years after it had occurred. She was nine when Coronado raped her. Consequently the two additional attacks were discovered following an investigation into Coronado’s past. The professor had sexually assaulted one girl 20-30 times when she was between the ages of 5 and 10; and another girl was assaulted at least 15 times between the ages of 6 and 10. Authorities later learned that the first two victims refused to tell anyone of the attacks because they were afraid Coronado might kill them. The judge who sentenced Professor Coronado referring to the crimes said, “to say they are serious almost understates what happened.”
In corporate America, your employment is usually contingent upon your adhering to a good standing clause. If you are convicted of a crime, you are automatically dismissed. An argument can be made for lesser crimes, but for something such as the above, no matter who your employer, it should be grounds for immediate dismissal. If you think any differently, you need a reality check.
As a sarcastic note, it is refreshing to see that institutions of higher learning are offering support and protection for all members of society, including those who repeatedly have sex with grade-schoolers. If I ever suspect I might be a pedophile, I will seek employment at a university!
Update 2
While in the shower, I thought I bit more about this issue. I comforted myself by reaching the conclusion that something this asinine would never happen at Case. Despite how liberal Case is with its choice of commencement speakers, they would never stoop to this level. Besides, Case is too good at preventing negative publicity. I'm glad I decided to attend a relatively moderate institution. If I had to put up with my school protecting the so-called rights of convicted pedophiles and the whining of people like Noam Chomsky, I would definitely not be as happy as am I here at Case.

I suspect that your comment requires that our courts are infallible. The bad press from having such a person on your staff is impressive, and most are fired simply for that reason. The fact that they are going through their judicial process rather than taking the government's ruling on faith is a good sign.

Hi very nice blog
i reed this blog
Well anyway, my girlfriend and I where browsing BME and stumbled upon the pubic piercing. I've never heard of it before and talked it over with my girlfriend about the possible pros and cons. I talked to my local piercing studio to get some more information about it. I compiled quite a bit of facts about it from artists, BE stories, and also the vast abundance of information available on the internet from people around the world. After weighing them out we both decided it would be a pretty good idea and might pose some sexual uses too. Since we are both willing to try just about anything, I decided to do it. Getting this done and talking it over with our mate is a HUGE deal. This piercing will hinder your love life for a while and might freak some women out.
