Case IPTV Coming to the Linux Desktop

I was delighted when a read the headline:
Micro Windows Media Player Encryption Hacked
This is just another example of "if you can see it, you can record it."
Hopefully I will be able to stream Case's IPTV to my Linux desktop in the near future. Until then, I will continue to be puzzled as to why the media providers insist on limiting access to media that contains advertisements.
