What's the Deal With WOIO?

Only in Cleveland could the local CBS station be airing paid programming over football on a Sunday afternoon this late in the season. Why aren't they airing the Colts vs. Chargers game? I'm sure there is a larger market for that game than paid programming about how to jump start your non-existent career.

You have to remember Cleveland local channesl are not that great. Especially WOIO/Whatever Local UPN Channel 43's call letters are. Especially with the browns game starting at 4 it just doesnt make any sense but either way it wasnt a good day for the colts.

The NFL regulates what games are showing not the affiliate. You better believe they wanted to show the game but NFL blackout rules prevail.

Terrence is right. There are all these complicated rules about airing games. One of the variables involved is whether games are sold out or not. They literally check with the box office minutes before kick off and make a call about airing games.
