FIRE Gives Case Red Light Concerning Speech Code
FIRE, whose mission is "to defend and sustain individual rights at America's increasingly repressive and partisan colleges and universities" has given Case a red light rating. The red light means that the university has "at least one policy that both clearly and substantially restricts freedom of speech."
It is important to note that how the policy is enforced is not taken into consideration. What matters is the very presence of the policy. Don't feel too bad, though. Most of our peer institutions have a red rating, so I guess our actions are justified.
Perhaps when the people who write codes of conduct realize there is no such thing as the right to not be offended, FIRE won't have to issue so many red lights. I love fake rights. The people who invent them make me laugh.

Oh thanks a lot you jerks, now we have a red light.
I wonder how often FIRE updates their rankings and documentation. Everything listed is from the 2003-04 school year.
