A Marathon Bike Ride
I did my first marathon-long bike ride today. Normally, 26+ miles on a bike isn't that long, but when you factor in 7 miles of climbing, it can be quite tiring. Despite the long climb, there was a pleasant suprise on this ride. On mile 12, which was near the top of the climb, I ran out of water and was slightly dehydrated. A Red Bull car drove by and I was handed a free can of Red Bull. Rock on! I quickly devoured it and rode on to enjoy the scenic view on Skyline Blvd.. Then, I did the 7 mile down-hill and headed back. Going downhill for 10+ minutes is a rush. It is like riding a rollercoaster. Anyway, I got back home and treated myself to a shower and a Gordon Biersch hefeweizen beer. Wheat beer is extremely refreshing after a long day outside. I highly recommend having one the next time you find yourself exhausted from the heat. For those of you in Cleveland, I recommend the Great Lakes Holy Moses. If you want some extra taste, serve it with an orange slice. Or, if you want the best hefeweizen in the world, try Hacker-Pschorr, the original wheat beer. It is usually available at Warehouse Beverage.
Anyway, time to relax. It was a long ride.

Your next task is to hit the half-century mark. That's 50 miles in one sitting. Good luck!
Bike ride is a thing I like to do after sitting hours in front of computer.
