Even More DIsappointed With Digg
Posted at November 14, 2006 10:25 PM in Digg
.
I've discovered the secret formula that determines whether a post makes the front page of Digg.com. If you submit a story with the following, you have a guaranteed winner.
- Title has "Top N Things" in it
- Links to blog speculating about new Apple product
- Mentions PS3 or Wii
- Speculation that Vista will underperform
- A HOWTO for Ubuntu
- Article comparing Zune to iPod
- Links to video on YouTube
- Speculation about Google
Instead of checking Digg or its feed religiously, I now just view Yesterday's Most Popular Articles at the beginning of the day and am done. Stop wasting your time sifting through the meaningless posts on the front page and just wait for time to settle the relevance.
