Clinical Coordinator, HIV Program Project, Biological Sciences, School of Dental Medicine (Job 8836), minimum annual salary is $33,410, posted 10/26/09This position is critical for the successful and efficient operation of the newly funded program project (PPG) entitled “Oral Mucosal Immunity in Vulnerable HIV Infected Populations”. The mission of the PPG is to identify changes in innate defense mechanisms that increase susceptibility to oral complications following HIV infection. The Peer Consultant provides a unique role in helping to motivate and prepare all staff levels within the provider organization as well as consumers, family members, and systems level authorities from a consumer perspective. Essential Functions include:
•Provide Peer Consultation to end-consumers primarily at Consumer Operated Services, and in conjunction with County Board authorities and community based mental health providers.
•Work with consumers and consumer groups to provide information that help increase employment for people with mental disorders, and to act as liaison between consumer and mental health service organizations.
The Center for Evidence-Based Practices is a partnership between the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences and the Department of Psychiatry, Case School of Medicine. The Center is supported by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and the Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services. The projects that are managed under The Center are as follows: The Ohio Substance Abuse/Mental Illness Coordinating Center of Excellence, The Ohio Supported Employment Coordinating Center of Excellence, and The Ohio Tobacco Project.
The SE CCOE’s mission is to promote the development and maintenance of supported employment services for people with severe mental and substance use disorders. The SE CCOE provides programmatic and clinical consultation, training and evaluation services to organizations interested in implementing SE. It works in close collaboration with the Ohio Substance-Abuse/Mental Illness Coordinating Center of Excellence (SAMI CCOE), Ohio Rehabilitation Services Commission (ORSC), Ohio Department of Mental Health (ODMH), and Ohio Advocates for Mental Health (OAMH) to fulfill that mission.

Licensing Associate, Life Sciences, Office of Research and Technology Management (Job 8484), minimum annual salary is $43,446, posted 04/08/09First, the licensing associate is responsible for negotiating material transfer agreements and non-disclosure agreements that flow through the Technology Transfer office. Full responsibility for these documents includes recording receipt of the document, diligently pursuing the completion of each agreement by communicating and negotiating with the other party to the agreement in coordination with the case manager for the agreement, obtaining necessary signatures on final agreements and distributing completed agreement to all parties involved. Negotiation of these agreements is a highly technical task, both scientific and legal, and requires an understanding of university policy governing the office’s position on a variety of negotiable items.
