    Working under general supervision, the Communications Specialist develops and implements communications for the division of Information Technology Services (ITS).     Will have a central role in the newly created Institute for Novel Practice Understanding and Transformation (INPUT) at Case Western Reserve University.   • Licensing Associate, Life Sciences, Office of Research and Technology Management (Job 8484), minimum annual salary is $43,446, posted 04/08/09

    First, the licensing associate is responsible for negotiating material transfer agreements and non-disclosure agreements that flow through the Technology Transfer office. Full responsibility for these documents includes recording receipt of the document, diligently pursuing the completion of each agreement by communicating and negotiating with the other party to the agreement in coordination with the case manager for the agreement, obtaining necessary signatures on final agreements and distributing completed agreement to all parties involved.     This position will work closely with the Assistant Director of Finance & Operations to provide administrative leadership and operational expertise in research administration for the school of Dental Medicine. This position will become involved in other departments as needed on either a short or a long-term basis. These responsibilities include proposal submission, grant management, effort distribution, procurement, travel and account reconciliation. This position will be responsible for all research activities of the assigned grants and will work closely with faculty to assist them with pre-award and post award grants management. In addition, this position will act as a resource for other SODM department secretaries and assistants to find solutions for grant administrative issues. Working with the director, train new and existing staff on changes to the Grants Management process including, but not be limited to the Spiderweb database, PeopleSoft applications as it relates to sub-contracts, grant submission processes for both funding agencies and Case, and Human Resources procedures. Working under general direction, manage the administrative activities for the assigned awards. This position requires regular a high degree of discretion and judgment. This person must be an effective communicator of Federal, Case Western Reserve University, School of Dental Medicine and departmental policies and procedures. In addition, the Research Coordinator must be effective in judging workload vs. deadlines and have good time management skills.

    REQUIREMENTS

    Experience
