Working under minimal supervision is responsible for systems and data base administration for the Center for Proteomics and Bioinformatics. The Center for Proteomics runs large scale and highly complex systems that enable the automated acquisition and processing of data from high-throughput proteomics experiments. Working under general supervision, the Analyst Programmer is charged with investigating, creating, developing, testing and implementing computer systems for the Case campus libraries. The Analyst Programmer engages in analyzing, evaluating, recommending, beta-testing existing software packages for integration into the Case computing environment. The Analyst Programmer is also responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining and supporting custom built applications that are for the Case community as related to the libraries’ role in the technology-enabled information. Responsible for authentication services for systems that provide access into University systems. This position will lead the development and collaborative transition to the new electronic document submission, review and maintenance system called “iRIS” from iMedRIS™. Working under limited supervision, provide comprehensive supervision and management of data from a longitudinal study beginning its 11th waive of data collection and to perform statistical data analysis for the purpose of manuscript publication and presentations.
The data is a longitudinal set from a study funded by the National Institute of drug abuse to study the effects of prenatal cocaine exposure on the development of children since birth. Both caregivers and children have been followed for the past twelve years and were previously seen at birth, 6, 12, and 24 months, 4, 6, 9 10, 11, and 12 years. The plan in the newly funded study is to see the subjects at 15 and 17 years of age. A wide variety of cognitive, behavioral, and health data are collected at each time point.
Management of data will include, but is not limited to, preparation of forms for data collection using Teleform software, education or research assistant (levels 1-4) in the correct use of data forms and various computer programs, scheduling timely data checking and entry, and using SAS statistical software for creation of data sets. The data manager will also be responsible for the overall maintenance of large longitudinal database using Microsoft SQL server.
