The Software Center has linked the Microsoft Visual Studio Express Editions installers to the Software Center from the Microsoft Website. This link is available to all Case students, faculty and staff. The Microsoft Visual Studio Express Editions are a collection of free tools, developer kits and learning tutorials useful for Windows, Web, Game and Hardware development.
Express Edition tools include:
•Visual Basic 2008 Express Edition - Productivity that is ideal for first time or casual Windows programming.
•Visual C# 2008 Express Edition - A great combination of power and productivity for the Windows developer.
•Visual C++ 2008 Express Edition - Horsepower with a finer degree of control than other Express Editions.
•Visual Web Developer 2008 Express Edition - An easy to use environment for dynamic Web application development.
•ASP.NET AJAX Control Toolkit - The ASP.NET AJAX Control Toolkit includes over 30 AJAX controls including rounded corners, drop shadows, animation, ratings, slide shows, ratings, and more.
•XNA Game Studio Express - Looking to do game development for the Xbox 360 and Windows? XNA Game Studio Express is the answer.
•SQL Server 2005 Express Edition - A lightweight, feature-rich, powerful database for Windows and Web data-enabled needs.

The Software Center is providing a link to the software as a convenience to the user community.
