The SANS Institute has recently announced a threat against various Broadcom wireless chipsets. The majority of Dell laptops have a broadcom wireless radio, and it is the BCWML5.SYS device driver that has the buffer overflow.
Drivers can be downloaded from http://suppport.dell.com.
We will announce more details with updgrade options as the become available from vendors.
Apple has released a security update in September (Airport Updated 2006-001) that addressed this issue.
