This week Microsoft released 3 critical patches on Patch Tuesday. If users have set their automatic updates for Windows to query the service weekly on wednesdays, this should be a low-effort task.
Microsoft Office Patch Extended to MacOS
This past week's security events included an update to the Microsoft security bulletin MS07-036 affecting an Excel remote code execution flaw to include the update for Office 2004 for MacOS.
Case Mac users of Office 2004 are advised to run their Microsoft Autoupdate application. This update is vendor specific, so the Apple Software Updates won't patch this problem.
