Today Apple announced software update 2.2 for the iPod (Touch) and iPhone. Since these are becoming a growing user base, we need to ensure the Case community is aware of how to update the software in these handheld devices. The network capabilities of the iPod touch and iPhone devices are the pathway for several security vulnerabilities in which affect the user using the Safari browser. The software update addresses these vulnerabilties.
Software updates for these devices are not done via the device, but through iTunes while docked to a computer.
To update your iPod touch or iPhone, connect it to your computer, and launch the iTunes application, and select the "Check for Update."

Then you'll need to tell iTunes to install the update.

Users should perform this update as soon as possible.
