[10/22/07 5:00 AM] - The move is complete. Things have returned to steady-state and everything appears to be running normally. We will continue to monitor the mail system, but the move appears to have been successful.
We will be moving the primary mail system (the part of the mail system that holds all the mailboxes) back to the primary mail machine from its backup. During the move, mailboxes will be unavailable, so it will not be possible to read mail during the outage. It is not expected that the outage will last more than about 15 minutes. While the mailboxes are unavailable, other systems will be queuing the mail so no mail will be lost while the mailbox system is down.
