Notes:
Powered down Module 2 on the Crawford VOIP GW chassis.
Powered on Module 6 on same chassis.
The chassis both hold a CMM with duplicate configurations (hardware and software).
Moved the PRI's from module 2 to module 6.
This all took place inside of 5 minutes during non-production hours. No calls were seen on the gateway before performing maintenance. End result, no service was affected by maintenance.
Observations made after change. Module 6 still reports the same "minor error" on interface fasteth 6/5. Same error was seen on 2/5. The switch puts the port into err-disable. It's assumed this is what ultimately crashes the CMM. I have disabled the port outright and will continue observing.
