Notes:
[4/10/08 5:00 AM] - The maintenance has been successfully completed. Operation of the mail list manager has been verified. The new hardware is in which will allow us to increase the amount of disk available to mail list archives.
[4/8/08 8:30 AM] - As it turns out we will not need to take the calendar server out of service on Thursday morning, only the mail list server. For that reason we have shortened the maintenance window to be 4:00-6:00 for this particular maintenance.
We will be moving some hardware from our calendar server to our mail list server so that we can expand the disk storage for mail list archives. We do not expect to need the entire maintenance window and each service will go down and come back to production separately. The calendar server will go down first (we estimate about a 30 minute outage), come back up and then we will take down the mail list server (again for an estimated 30 minutes) install the hardware we are moving and then bring the service back up. We will post updates as we progress through the process.
