Problem: NS2 Name Server to be Rebooted Cause: Hardware memory error Affects: Name resolution - slower DNS resposes due to smaller server pool Started: 04/09/2008 05:00 AM Resolved: 04/09/2008 06:00 AM

CRC Memory Error reported on Server front Panel (ECC memory.)
This is the second time we have server management tool reports of hardware memory errors concerning this new server. The first was cleared weeks ago, but a new one has cropped up.
If power cycling does not clear the CRC error, we will reseat the memory.
We'll keep an eye out for potential future problems. Should the problem reoccur, we will need to resort to more drastic measures in an effort to ensure that the server is error free.
