[6/3/08 6:30 PM] - We're not quite sure what happened although it looks like the entire rack in which the mail servers are mounted temporarily lost power. The mail server that serves off-campus incoming mail restarted, but the two servers that handle on-campus incoming traffic did not and required manual intervention to restart. We will investigate why the servers did not automatically restart with the vendor to try to insure that they do not hang on reboot again.
Engineer is headed onsite to investigate.
