Ki-moon Ban to be next UN Secretary-General

230px-Bankimoon.jpgWith the rest of the candidates withdrawn from the race, Ki-moon Ban, South Korean Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade will become the next Secretary-General of the United Nations on January 1, 2007.

He will be the first South Korean to hold the post, and the first Asian to run the UN in more than 30 years.

Ban has topped each of the four straw polls conducted by the U.N. Security Council on July 24, Sept 14, Sept 28, and Oct 2. In the fourth poll, he emerged as the only candidate with the support from all five permanent members, each of whom as the power to veto candidates.

Today, the Security Council has officially nominated Ban as its choice to succeed Kofi Annan. The 192-member General Assembly is expected to formally elect him later this month.

Mr. Moon needs to resign from his position as Secretary of the U.N. He is doing nothing to prevent America from invading Iran's Oil Fields. He never says anything about America suffering from Nationalism, Materialism, Corruption, Propaganda and Imperialism. America is on the road to ruin very similar to Nazi Germany in the 1930's and 1940's. America has an illegal government which was never elected due to Electronic Slot Machine Elections and ten's of millions of people were prevented from voting. Mr. Moon needs to resign his position because he is not objective. We need a new U.N. Secretary who is from a neutral, non-aligned country which is not dependent on America for security and which does not have U.S. troops stationed on their soil. South Korea has 37,000 American troops stationed on their soil and Mr Moon was the previous South Korean Foreign Minister and he is not neutral, he is not an objective Secretary.
We need a new U.N. Secretary who is for Peace and a person that will speak the truth about aggressive countries. America is doing massive Propaganda for an invasion of Iran's Oil fields. The new U.N. Secretary needs to urgently work to influence America to leave Iraq's Oil Fields. We need Peace and Mr. Moon is not the man to help bring Peace because he is not neutral. He is not objective. Mr. Moon is from a dependent, subsidiary country of the USA and he is not the person to lead the United Nations.
