May 15 - No Gas Day

Remember not to buy gas tomorrow (Tuesday) May 15 to protest outrageous gas prices.

A myth? It would not cause any adverse effects, but it would be nice to give NJ's gas station employees a day off. We are still one out of two states where we cannot pump our own gas.

I like to note that as of last week, filling up my gas tank now exceeds $51.00. The cheapest I had to pay was about $28 two months ago.

The other being Oregon...I guess your state government thinks that citizens are too stupid to do the job. Of course, the pumpers would still have to show up for work, and then work twice as hard the day before and after,so I fail to see the advantage to them.

Heh, good point, but I think they are more suited to find other jobs then waiting to pump your gas. I was stuck waiting for 25 minutes at a service area gas station along the garden state parkeway while four attendants worked 18 gas pumps.
