I need a President that can answer a simple question

Politicians have perfected the way to get around the questions that everyone wants answered. In my ideal world, I want to vote for a President that can answer it directly, but I guess the given field of candidates for 2008 would fail that test.

My guess is Ron Paul would answer it directly.

Yeah I agree that every politician except Ron Paul would answer about the same way. Truth be told, I don't expect any President of presidential candidate to know all of the answers. I doubt Bush would have been able to answer this question, so I think he was being honest about that (although as to whether he will actually call the Secretary of defense or whoever it was, who knows). He could have given an idealist answer (as Ron Paul would) but maybe not one as realistic as needed.
