This almost beats the Miss American contestant on that map question

I thought Europe was a country. Sorry, it's a continent.

I thought France was a country. Fortunately, it is.

Sigh.

Wow. That hurts. I am happy to note that the kid even spelled it "Hungary" instead of "Hungry," given that the host was making it sound like they were exactly the same.

I always enjoyed seeing how many people in Speech and Debate would say things like, "in countries like Africa". Sheesh.

It is strange how you Americans think about Europe as one nation, as something unique. Instead we Europeans are a collection of different peoples. I am Italian (Rome), and I do not feel (and I am not) for anything like a boy in London or Paris.
