Man Records Phishing Call
WSLS TV station reports about a fellow citizen receiving a phishing call claiming to be with the government.
The scammer claimed he was calling from the United States Banking Commission (which does not exist). The closest thing is the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).
He told Howard Beasley that they took $481 out of his checking account and they needed his account number so they can re-deposit the money.
Beasley recorded the 10-minute conversation.

This must be the dumbest phisher I have ever heard. Even though he has Mr. Beasley's home address and threatens him to come to his house, the husband remains unfazed.
I am surprised the guy just didn't just hang up. Why stay on the call for that long? Imagine if it was a phone sting operation, they would be able to trace that call and catch him.
