Could war break out in South America?

Did the foreign policy analysts at the intelligence agencies miss this one?

Could it be just a bunch of leaders making a temper tantrum at each other or could war break out between Ecuador and Venezuela, and Colombia?

And will the United States intervene?

The U.S. is doing too much "intervening" at the moment so I hope countries and South America can manage to get along-or at least not war with each other.
