Brits, stay home!

Really, I mean it. I love you guys, and this country could certainly use your money. But if you're going to lose your privacy for the simple act of visiting the States, why come here?

If we choose to invade their privacy for visiting the United States, they should do the same to us when we are visiting the UK.

Also, while European airlines are required to send the necessary information, the US government only requests US airlines to forward their info to the European authorities. Quite one-sided don't ya think?

Now, James, didn't your mama teach you that two wrongs don't make a right? I'd be much more into tit-for-tat if I had any evidence that the American people are demanding that we snoop into British credit-card purchases, or that the British people considered turning the info over as their duty in the War on Terror.

Well of course the public is not demanding to see the Brit's personal info. It's all the politicians being safety and paranoid freaks. If we are busy fingerprinting tourists coming to this country, we should suffer the same fate on the other end. Why should Americans be the special ones?

Obviously, I want a special line at the airport for travellers that know how to get through security in like seconds, not hours.
