Going on vacation

Friday I'm leaving for the Madison Early Music Festival. My computer access will be spotty and I'll be busy. What blogging I manage will be about the event...but I find that people don't appreciate me blogging my musical adventures, because I tend to tell too much truth. So you'll get what you get.

I for one would be interested in reading about your Madison adventures. Blog away!

But spilling the beans on people is what makes blogging fun!

Mach spass.

Yeah, I know. But I got into grief with an employer over such a post. I'd have been as happy in that case if he'd fired me, but I ended up bowdlerizing the post...mostly because he did have some valid points about his employability, and I really didn't want to mess things up for him or the guys in the band.

The few times Joe has called me, I have been unavailable. I think that Andrew and my brother and another friend of mine picked up the slack. I'd probably get fired for playing "too Slovenian" or something (too Balkan?) on accident. Not that I don't enjoy doing certain gigs for the anthropology of them.

At least the stuff I used to occassionally do with Harmonia was in 5, 7, and 9.

I've played with Andy some. It's definitely worth doing for the anthropology. Joe's definitely willing to work with you on style. I've never been able to duplicate the sound of the Avsenik guy ; it sounds like he's blowing the crap out of a tiny tenorhorn. But I think I have an equally valid approach on different equipment.
