Tim Bray Moves to Solaris 10

For those of us about to embark on our own roads to using Solaris 10, here is Tim Bray's Linux to Solaris Diary.

And, I can't just link to it without picking out this quote:

Bryan told me that if I wanted any open-source software that doesn’t come with Solaris, [pkg-get] was the way to get it; seems to work about like apt-get, which I’ve always regarded as the supreme achievement in the universe of release engineering.

There's other gems, too, such as getting the -z option back for tar.
