Entry Is Labelled

JavaSchools

This is why I read Joel, for these golden quote nuggets that encapsulate so much truth:

The recruiters-who-use-grep, by the way, are ridiculed here, and for good reason. I have never met anyone who can do Scheme, Haskell, and C pointers who can't pick up Java in two days, and create better Java code than people with five years of experience in Java, but try explaining that to the average HR drone.

If your implicit assertion is that Case is becoming a JavaSchool and that this is a bad thing, I agree on both points.

On the other hand, I would love to have my resume evaluated by a recruiter who can actually use grep (for things other than searching through resumes, I would hope).
