CSS-ing Case: Intermediate Round

In the entry CSS-ing Case: Round 2, Brian Beck left a short comment expressing Huzzah:

Looks fine in Opera and Konqueror, nice work!

These comments go a long way with me because I know once I get to the rounds where I have to deal with IE, I am going to want to quit. Knowing that at least a couple persons are cheering me on in my endeavor to create CSS-ified Case templates is nice.

So... thanks, Brian. Much appreciated.

And again I would like to add, these are totally not to be used (I can't stress that enough). They haven't undergone anywhere near the vetting process that the real templates have undergone by actual real life web design professionals (our own and a web design firm whose speciality this is). This is only an academic endeavor for me, but I'm happy to take Huzzahs for it when they are offered.

Oh... and if anybody can tell me what it looks like in IE7, it would be appreciated i.e. "it looks like crap" means that I have to install and test an IE7 computer; "it looks fine" means that I'm cool fixing it it for IE 6.x for the time being and can hold off having to test IE7.

Looks exactly the same in IE7 and Firefox2.0 to me. Thats a big kudos to both you and Microsoft.

I'm still struggling getting everything perfect in IE7 for my site.

    Jeremy,
    I compared them in Firefox, I.E. 7 and I.E. 6.

Firefox is obviously cleanest, the background image in the banner disappears in 7 and positioning goes wonky in 6. Also in all the h1 is hovering above the baseline. It should be flush on the bottom. (This was one of the troublesome issues for my versions too)

Yea... the IE stuff isn't going to be fun.

Hmmm... I think I see it. I'll have to twiddle with that and see if I can't get the h1 to squeeze down some more.

    Thanks for the screenshots, Heidi!
