The Akron Wiki

Akron's Wiki
Looking at the history of the front page, it looks like it launched in mid-July. It was about a year and a half ago that I wanted to help create wiki.cleveland.com but couldn't generate any interest in the idea.

Perhaps when the Wiki farm is up and running we could set one up for Cleveland? Would we be able to have a unique authentication system that would be open to non-Case users?

As discussed in the past we've got a lot of material we could use to start it up.

Well as the founder of the Akron wiki I can tell you that it's not about the intitial interest. Sure it can be more than helpful, but in the long run, it's the determination of the force behind the cause which will be the success or failure behind a community project such as this.

Luckily, we have had great support from a writer in the Akron Beacon Journal and the wiki was founded on an online community that was several years strong. This definately has helped us so far but no miracles happen over night.
