Winter fever?

So far this winter all I've managed to really go out an do is climb at the rock gym. Its been great, but TJ and I really need to get out somewhere and do something. My new backpack is sitting in the basement of my house collecting dust.

Here are the grand plans for the year:

Skiiing - Now that there's snow, I'd like to get some XC in at Brecksville or something. Maybe I'll go with Tammy sometime to do downhill too.

Backpacking - TJ and I are looking for a big trip late summer/autumn, probably with the Sierra Club. I'd love to spend a week in a canyon in Arizona or Utah with my new pack and some rock shoes and do nothing but hike and boulder for 7 days. In the meantime, as soon as it gets warmer I'm putting together a smaller trip in PA or southern OH. Rock shoes included.

Climbing - hopefully between Scott and people from the rock gym TJ and I will have plenty of trips to Hinckley and West Virginia. Maybe, if things work out right, I'll make a trip out to CA to do some serious climbing.

Case is supposedly building a climbing wall in Veale. It'll be interesting to check that out. I've also heard of a climbing club, but I've never noticed at the rock gym if they come.

Oh and in the meantime:

Hey, here are the trips I looked at and liked. I took into consideration the ability to climb and the severity of the hike; for one because I am a beginner, and I am not sure how much experience Pete, Nicole or Alicia have, I am sure it would not be fair to the group or to them to put them on a M/S trail. Not to mention with my limited experience they might no even let me in a M/S trip. I think most of these are moderate hikes with lay over days that allow for climbing and bouldering (05152A specifically mention bouldering).
The hikes are also mid summer so I don't have to miss any classes. Send me your list and well discuss then send out a list to everyone we are thinking about inviting.

Unfortunately, if I stick with the current job offer, I won't have any vacation time during my first year there... which means that anything after June is out for me.

Hola! By any chance, did you graduate from MHS in 2000?!?! FYI: Montana and Oregon are great places for climbing too :)
