Welcome Tulane students, Case students from the Gulf Coast region, and others concerned with the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina

This blog has been created to facilitate the sharing of information and supplies between our new students from Tulane and the rest of the Case community. Our students from Tulane have—in many cases—had to leave behind items ranging from school books and supplies, to clothing and computer equipment. Some may be in need of housing assistance or advice. Having missed orientation and being new to Case, they will also need to learn about our campus, Cleveland and University Circle. Most of all they will want to get to know the students, faculty and staff as they become members of our Case campus community.

On this blog we’ve created entries covering the topics listed in the menu. If you are a Tulane student in need of supplies, assistance, or just some friendly advice, please post a comment on the relevant page and let us know how we can help. If you are already a member of the Case community and have ideas or items to share? please post your comments as well so that you can connect with our Tulane students for the exchange of thoughts and/or tangible goods.

About Case

Although its origins date to 1826, the University in its present form is the result of the 1967 federation of Case Institute of Technology and Western Reserve University. The two institutions had shared adjacent campuses since the late nineteenth century, and were involved in cooperative efforts for many years. Today, Case Western Reserve's enrollment and resources, distributed among undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs that encompass the arts and sciences, dental medicine, engineering, law, management, medicine, nursing, and social work, achieve a balance that is distinctive among American universities.

More information is available at Visit Case. If you are a Tulane student with questions about Case, please feel free to ask them below, and members of the Case community will post their answers in response.
