A Special Town Hall Meeting:
Medical School's Response to Katrina

in the Biomedical Research Building
Frohring Auditorium.

On Case Community Day, Wednesday, September 14, "Case, Build Hope" will collecting donations at various locations on and around campus. Donors will receive beaded necklaces. No donation is too small. Make it a Mardis Gras day for disaster relief, and BUILD HOPE for the thousands of people who need our help. "Case, Build Hope" Katrina Relief Boxes also will be located in participating College of Arts & Sciences Departments as well.

Organized by a group of concerned faculty and students, "Case, Build Hope," needs volunteers for Wednesday, September 14. Please, make this a successful campus-wide event! Show your support. Interested staff, faculty, and students should contact T.S. Harvey at tsh8@case.edu to register as a volunteer and receive logistical information.

The American Red Cross is at EMERGENCY STATUS and needs YOUR help.

Thwing Center is hosting a Blood Drive on Tuesday, Sept. 13 from 10:00am to 5pm in the Thwing Ballroom. Please consider signing up and making a donation—you can help save a life. When you come to donate blood, you will receive a 9/11 Commemorative Lapel Pin for you support, then and now.

The University Counseling Service/Collegiate Behavioral Health is offering a support group for students who have been affected by Hurricane Katrina.

This includes students who have been displaced from their home-university and are attending Case, students who were attending Case and who have homes/families/loved-ones in the affected areas, and other students who are experiencing the impact of the disaster and are looking for support.

The group is scheduled to be held during Provost Hour on Thursdays, from 11:30AM - 12:30PM beginning Thursday, September 22. It is scheduled to run every week for eights weeks (through Thursday, November 10th), depending on the interest and attendance.

This is an open group, which means that students are welcome to attend any of the group meetings, even if they missed any/all of the previous meetings.

The group will be co-facilitated by Jane Daroff, LISW and Rich Pazol, Psy.D.

The group will meet in the International Student Lounge on the second floor of the Sears Library Building. This is down the hall from the University Counseling Service, the Career Center, and the International Students Office.
