using the Blog@Case platform

Using the Blog@Case platform for MGMT250 online journal entries seems to be fairly complex for students who have not blogged before. Last year, when I used LiveJournal instead, it seemed like I received fewer frustrated emails from students who couldn't figure out how to complete their tasks.

I am aware that several students are concerned that the comments they posted on other students' blogs may not be visible. I will be doing an audit today to see if any students did not meet the grading criterion of making at least two comments since September 12, but I will query students if I don't find two comments, so that they can let me know if any of their comments may have gone missing.

I hope all students will check their comments screen (look for the button in the lefthand column labelled "comments") and approve all comments you have received so far from other students! This will help to ensure that everything will be visible to me (and to the general public).

I also hope that students will keep in mind that people outside of our class can read and comment on your entries -- we have had comments on students' entries from Bob McCullough, an associate director in undergraduate admissions; Patricia Schreiber, a writer/editor from the same office; and Tina, an MPOD student with a blog. All this is to say -- please proofread your entries!
