Union Capital Mortgage

Yesterday I conducted an interview with an employee of Union Capital Mortgage as part of our group project for Management 251. I found this interview to be very interesting. The lady I interviewed, Megan Walsh, was very energetic and enthusiastic when talking about the company she works for. She described to me some of the things her boss does for his employees. Some of these things include taking his employees out to lunch and bringing them gifts home from overseas trips. She was very descriptive of how personable she thought he was and how much she loved working there and this was evident in the enthusiasm she displayed. Her description of her boss as being a people person along with her energy and enthusiasm toward the company lead me to believe that taking a people-first approach to managing, at least in a small company like Union Capital Mortgage, is the way to go.
