Tom Mendola

I would fire Tom. I believe in feedback, and in second chances, but it is evident that Tom is not ready for the workforce. I understand that he has a family to feed, but if his maturity is truly at the level that he cares a lot about the wellbeing of his family, we would expect better work out of him, or any work for that matter. He is not doing his job, but he is also distracting others from doing their work.

I agree with Kim from just reading it, but I think that if I were actually in the position that I would be the one to have to fire him, I'd try to avoid it. I would just feel badly. I would at least try to help him get another job or something. I do understand Kim's point though.
