I never imagined I would learn so much about myself in a class that bases it's texts on learning about other people. When learning about how to manage others, we learned how to manage ourselves as well. This class has been very effective! We have learned how to trust, how to deligate to, and how to give feedback to our classmates. It has been very insiteful and enjoyable.

I found it very hard to stop the HR simulation. Our team had grown so close and enjoyed not only working together, but eachother's company. It will be odd to not meet with them three times a week (class and our meeting), and to not corespond with them via email. I look forward to seeing them again next semester, and to hopefully have the opportunity to work with them again.

I find the learning plan part II more difficult than part one. It is not hard to talk about yourself and how you view yourself, but when it comes to make goals, that is very frightening! I fear that once they are on paper, they are real. Once they are real, I have to act on them and complete them. That is very scary to think about, and even scarier to act on.

I understand that he has a family to feed, but if his maturity is truly at the level that he cares a lot about the wellbeing of his family, we would expect better work out of him, or any work for that matter. He is not doing his job, but he is also distracting others from doing their work.

My group is great, and though we do have different styles of working and different thoughts on how to get the task done, we are very efficient and take the time to also get to know eachother. It is not just about the project at hand, but also the opportunity to get to know others within the school, that excites me.

I first took the MBTI this past summer before my job as Orientation Executive Board Member. I truly thought that my results would not change, but they did! Though I am still an ENFP, my results are very different. When I first took the test, I was in the "clear" for pereiving, and now, I am only in the slight. Also, I was in the very clear for Intuition, and now I am only in the moderate. This shows that my job this summer helped me in areas that I wanted to grow on, like my organizational skills, and my fair thinking skills. I am still the same description, but a more mature version of an ENFP.

As I said during class, my nursery school teacher is still working, at the age of 82, and the rest of the school has to adapt to the communication style that she is used to. She can not use email, does not understand fax machines, and barely has a grasp on the cellular telephones that they use on the campus. This makes gathering information harder for her, as most of communication happens via email now-a-days. They must place notes, flyers, or signs to help her become aware of a staff meeting. Imagine if Case was this way? Imagine that if for every meeting you were holding, as a president of a group, that you had to go post a flyer on each member's door? It becomes tedious.
The hard part with this scenario is that she is a wonderful teacher. She is very nuturing, caring, and loving towards the students, and I still (to this day) have fond memories of her, but I can understand the frustration of those she works with. It is hard to work with someone who is years behind the world around you.
