My birthday is next week and I'm feeling quite old, and going to grad school doesnt help me feel any younger. But, I guess it's okay, because i used to daydream about this time in life and now it's here.
I went to my first art history gathering at the house of two of the co-chairs of GAHA and it was soo much fun. I met people and got drunk, which is always a good time. I dont feel so nervous now.

From a fellow graduate student, welcome to Grad School! There is no better initiation than reading the comic strip by Jorge Cham called Piled Higher and Deeper at http://www.phdcomics.com/comics. Although it is slightly slanted towards the science side of grad school, I think you'll still enjoy it. Good luck!
