Team Dynamics

Teams can be an effective way to complete projects. They assemble diverse skills, build morale, and increase accountability. Nevertheless, to gain the full benefit of a team, it is important that the members, or at least the leader understands the dynamics of teams. For example, many teams go through a four stage cycle of building bonds and encountering conflicts. If a team can go into a project anticipating the usual set of problems, then they can be recognized and addressed early. This is particularly important for problems like avoiding conflict, which can escalate if they are not dealt with early.
