Presentation and discussion led by Bob Libal, the national co-coordinator of Grassroot Leadership Not With Our Money Campaign. This lecture and question and answer period will outline the basics of the prison industrial complex tracing tough-on-crime politics, mandatory minimums, the war and drugs, and profit as reasons for the rise of the prison industrial complex as a defining institution in American society.
