West Side Market and Case Market Meals

My first time cooking fish...

Meal One: Northeast Family Goat Farms goat monterey jack cheese (Whole Foods), radishes (West Side Market), Hungarian Homemade noodles (Heinan's), Kale (Co-Op), White Bass (West Side Market), Maple Syrup (Heinan's), Corbo's bread crumbs (Marc's).

Covered fish in crumbs and fried it with butter. Added radishes, kale and salt, sauteed until kale lost some volume. It still didn't taste great but it was okay.

The cheese has maple syrup on it. It was pretty good. Both things have intense flavor so neither one gets drowned out.

Meal Two: Radishes (West Side Market), Mrs. Miller's Hungarian noodles (Heinan's), Kale (Co-Op), White Bass (West Side Market), Hartville Dressing (Heinan's), Spinach and Greens (BRB market).

Soaked the kale for about 1/2 hour in cold water before putting it in the salad. This took some of the bitterness away. Didn't work for when I sauteed it, though. I was trying to make fish soup with the fish but apparently fish doesn't really lend its flavor to water very well, so you need to have a lot of extra stuff in fish soup, which I did not have. So it became and awkward fish stir fry which didn't taste great but it wasn't so bad. I also put some mint leaves in the salad, from my backyard. It was delicious.

Mint.

You have to soak it to wash it.

Meal Three: Radishes (West Side Market), Mrs. Miller's Hungarian noodles (Heinan's), Kale (Co-Op), Beef (West Side Market), Hartville Dressing (Heinan's), Spinach and Greens (BRB market), .

Same deal for the salad but I ran out of mint. The kale soup with spinach was okay but I think its better with just kale. The steak was delicioussss. I ate the other half off camera. :)

The end. Next up, Zagara's, City Fresh and Fresh Fork.
