More Redesign

Okay, after the failure of last night's attempt, I've changed everything... again. [/Advertisement voice guy]

I've always admired the neutral gray-green look, so I finally sat down and worked out the colors that seem to go together for that, and I like this one a lot better. The only thing I'm really worried about now is that banner... Did I go too overboard with the bump-mapping? I'm not 100% sold on its colors, either, but I needed some contrast.

Oh well, if the banner's the only thing that's wrong... I can always change that later.

I do think the texture on the banner is a little overdone, myself, and I think that's partially due to the lack of texture on the remainder of the page. If you're concerned about the colors, maybe try for a forest green to replace the reddish color. Only issue with that is that good greens are tough to simulate in RGB, imho.

Yeah, like good browns. I tried a deep brown for the banner, but the RGB colorspace...

Okay, fixed. Mostly. Kind of. I think. Colors are a little hard to tell on my LCD and I don't have the CRT hooked up yet. Good steer on the deep green, though.
