American Infidelity
Americans have become unfaithful to our troops in Iraq. The war in Iraq has become less of a problem to us than the economy and health care. We think more about the price of gasoline than we do about the thousands of men and women who have been killed and wounded in Iraq. It is time to return the issues of war and peace in Iraq to the forefront of our consciousness. The loss of material comforts here on the home front pales in comparison to the problems of war and peace in Iraq and elsewhere in the Middle East. It's time to get our eye back on the target and resume our national debate on whether or not to leave Iraq.
