Kristen Mikelbank, research assistant at the Center on Urban Poverty and Community Development, presented about the state of literacy and poverty in Greater Cleveland at the launch of The Literacy Cooperative’s Instructors Learning Network (ILN). The presentation provided literacy and poverty statistics, outlined an investment framework for addressing poverty, and explained the role of literacy in decreasing poverty.
