The National Vacant Properties Campaign exists to provide everyone – individuals, advocates, agencies, developers, non-profits, and others – with information resources, tools, and assistance to support their vacant property revitalization efforts and recognizes NEO CANDO as a national model for neighborhood information systems that serve parcel data to the public.
NEO CANDO: Community applications of neighborhood information
This presentation describes the importance of parcel data to a land assembly/blight removal initiative partnership with 6 community development corporations, Neighborhood Progress, Inc, the Poverty Center at Case Western Reserve University, and the Community Advocacy Clinic at Cleveland State University.
NEO CANDO: An early warning system for at-risk properties
In this presentation, Michael describes how NEO CANDO parcel data are being used in the community as an early warning system to identify at-risk properties for purposes of intervention.
