The Louis Stokes Youth Violence Prevention Consortium will present a free program on school violence, bullying and neighborhood violence on Thursday, December 13.
The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn Cleveland Downtown, 1100 Carnegie Avenue.

The event will feature William Modzeleski, the former Associate Assistant Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Safe and Drug Free Schools. Modzeleski has over 30 years of experience working on a wide range of school safety, juvenile justice and emergency preparedness issues and will share and discuss his thoughts on school violence and bullying.
He will be joined by Scott Decker, PhD, Foundation Professor and Director of the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Arizona State University. Decker specializes in criminology research and is an expert on policy issues, gangs and firearm violence.
