Rozenia Cunningham, fine artist, works with a variety of mediums and styles. She is a painter, creates mixed media collages, and is a ceramist. Every piece of her work expresses her passion, imagination and creativity. Her subject matter and mediums vary. According to Ms. Cunningham; “I like to challenge myself with various art mediums, styles, and subjects…through observing, listening, and dreaming bring my “creations” all together.”
Rozenia is a Cleveland artist and her desire for the arts began at the tender young age. She graduated from Central State University with a BA and continues to take Art Education courses at Cleveland State University and Notre Dame College. Besides creating her own artwork, she generously gives back to her community helping senior citizens with Alzheimer’s and Dementia along with instructing young children to discover their individual artist potentials. She has also taught for many years in the Cleveland Municipal School District as substitute teacher and an art teacher.
“My art is not always meant to be understood but to ignite joy and/or to “encourage” your own creative thinking. “
