Securing Content
One of the primary tenets of Digital Case is provide free and open access to it's contents. While this continues, there are special circumstances where a layer of security is necessary. There has always been the ability to dark archive content, which essentially makes it "invisible" while still managing the long-term storage of content. Now Digital Case has the ability to secure content while exposing the metadata and making the item discoverable, yet only providing access to those with a valid Case ID (via Single Sign-On). This can open the door to a whole new world of content in Digital Case that is for the campus community only.
