New Computers in KSL
While most of the Case community is away on winter interim break, the KSL technology team staff is working to install new computers in KSL. When you return for Spring Semester, you'll find all new computers that have more speed...and more power, in most cases.
Computers on the KSL main floor will be found nearer to the staff at the Reference Desk, and on some of the large black tables so you can work together on group projects. With Reference staff nearby, you can work with a librarian to use the best suggested resources for your topic, and begin to work on your paper or project–all on the same computer.
Need to do a PowerPoint presentation? You'll be able to do so, with more help along the way, too. While KSL hard drives are still protected for obvious security reasons, the Microsoft Office Suite is fully available for your use, and you can start/save/and work on documents later, all from library computers. If you aren't finished, just save your file to the desktop and mail it to yourself, or right click on the file and save it to your jump or flash drive for completion on another computer elsewhere.
Just need to do some online searching? All KSL computers have the same research resources and web access, but since the main floor computers have Office on them, you might opt for a quieter place to search online, and the 2nd floor is perfect for that.
KSL computers--new, fast, more powerful. A great way to start a new semester.
